Blog – VCE Study Preparation

Senior student studying mathematics with a calculator and notebook

VCE General Maths runs on four areas: data analysis, recursion and financial modelling, matrices, and networks and decision mathematics. Our new guide sets out what each one asks of a student, and how the marks divide: 24 and 16 per cent for coursework, 30 and 30 for the two exams. It also carries the figure almost nobody publishes, which is how many marks each area is worth in each paper.
